Driving carefully does make a difference!

Accelerating gradually and not running the A/C does indeed help. I got an extra 3-4 MPG out of my car just doing these two things. On the way home I thought about chopping out the back seats to cut down on the weight, but decided against it.

Oh, by the way, looks like I mis-called the short-term rise in gas prices. Oh well. I’m glad that they’re going down a bit.

    I’ve been doing the same thing with my AC. I still have a bit of a lead foot, though. I’m not sure how much difference this has made in my mileage — I’ll check next time I buy gas.
