Cheap baby toys

October 12th, 2005 | by mbhunter |

We visited my folks this past weekend. Our daughter (almost 9 months old now) got some toys from Grandma. (You know — the ones that sing the songs that get stuck in your head!)

Our daughter loves them.

She’s also at the age when most things are fascinating. A few months ago we got some brightly-colored blocks with jingly-jangly stuff inside. We stored them in an empty plastic baby wipe container.

I think that she played with the empty wipe container more than she played with the blocks!

Baby toys do not need to be expensive. A lot of common household things are as safe as most store-bought baby toys. She especially likes boxes and (blunt) kitchen utensils.

And they don’t even require batteries!

Agree that the common household items are just as entertaining for kids. My mom has the chewed up Tupperware to prove it.
But the side point is to agree with you that anything north of NYC is upstate (sorry Mrs. MBH).
