A Blogshow of Financial Resolutions

December 29th, 2005 | by mbhunter |

JLP at AllThingsFinancial has a neat post on making financial resolutions for 2006. A group of other personal finance bloggers contributed their posts (about thirty so far!) around a tightly-focused set of topics:

  • Setting up an emergency fund
  • Get out of debt (pay off those credit cards!)
  • Manage Your 401(k)
  • Set up an IRA
  • Set up a Budget
  • Prepare Personal Financial Statements

I definitely need to put together a personal finance statement for my family. I know that I’m in good enough financial shape not to get calls from bill collectors at all hours of the night, but as for as looking out toward retirement or even two years from now, I don’t have a clue.

Lots of well-written, highly targeted personal finance advice for starting off the new year on the right foot!
