After Christmas find

January 8th, 2006 | by mbhunter |

A lot of the after-Christmas sales I’ve been to recently are OK, but not great. Fifty percent off is OK, 75% off is better. Most of the sales I’ve been to have had discounts like this.

Target had 90% off of whatever was left of the seasonal stuff. This steep a discount usually gets my attention in a hurry!

There wasn’t too much left. Some Christmas tree stands, bows, and a whole bunch of greeting cards. There was one box that I liked a lot, and there were six left.

The boxes of 40 greeting cards normally retail for $2.99. But at 90% off, this is less than a penny per card and envelope! It’s tough to get paper and envelope for that little. The only other cost now is storing them until next Christmas.
