157 miles per gallon!?

March 8th, 2006 | by mbhunter |

Ran across this post on 2c Worth about the Loremo LS157 miles per gallon, set to come out in 2009.

It has a top speed of about 100 MPH and a 2-cylinder, 20-HP turbo diesel engine.  (Heh: That’s the same power as the engine in my riding lawn mower!)  It has room for 4 passengers and weighs only about 1000 pounds.

I’ve driven a Prius and the pick-up on that was all right.  (Nowhere near the Camaro convertible we drove on our honeymoon, but that’s another story.)  I don’t know about the pickup on this one, though.  Will it be like cracking the whip on a bunch of hamsters or will it be acceptable?

In any case, I’m going to be watching for it.  That’s five times the gas mileage I get now with my Achieva.

Are you going to be looking for fuel efficiency for your next vehicle, or is what you have all right?

Hey, thanks for visiting – and the link.

This car looks good, and sounds just up a frugal alley; just hope it (or something else similar) does come out soon.

I’m happy with my Toyota, but I will definitely be looking for a fuel efficient car after my car dies (hopefully a long time from now – that’s why I got a Toyota).
But on the more off topic but still relevant note, Happy (Belated) Birthday, MBHunter! Hope you had a great time with family!
