What $300k will get you in King George County

For $300k you can get a 4-year-old house with just shy of 1800 sf, 3 BR 2.5 BA on under 1 acre.
Or, you can get a 50-year-old, 1000 sf, 3 BR, 1 BA house on the Potomac river.
Property taxes are quite low here — mine went up 70% because of appreciation but it’s still only about $1500/yr.
We’re about 1 1/2 hrs south of DC, so this is a little bit of a bubble area.

Are you kidding? That thing looks like a mobile home. I wouldn’t pay $80,000 for that in my neck of the woods.
