I'm also a HUGE fan of Eclipse for Java development. It's one of the best development environments I've ever used. Trillian is a nice tool for multiservice chat but I like Meebo even better lately, unfortunately Meebo does not support IRC which is why I still use Trillian. Textpad is far superior to Notepad too since it gives you your byte and line positions, which are key for me when I'm mapping out data. I love Firefox and IrfanViewer.
