I would never, ever, ever think about doing this to anyone.  Ever!  (Well, maybe if I was driving with Barney the Purple Dinosaur …)

Woman forfeits friend for free tank of gas

Ouch!  Hopefully at least the gas was premium!

But just for fun:  If gas were $20/gallon, what would you give up for a full tank if you didn’t have the cash?

Hah…jeez, I don’t know what to say…That person’s idea of a “friend” must be very distorted.

This is funny, I was used as collateral for $5 of gas once.
A friend and I were taking a test drive on a car and the gas light beeped on, so we went to get gas and realized neither of us had any cash or debit cards on us after filling up. So I stayed as collateral for the $5 and she drove back and got money from the car salesman (we knew him) and then came back to pay.
It was fun to joke around with the staff while I waited. And the thought never crossed my mind that I would be stranded.
