Some yard sale and flea market finds

July 7th, 2006 | by mbhunter |

On the way to our camping trip this past weekend we stopped at a few yard sales and a flea market. We picked up:

  • A bread maker for $6
  • A plastic 5-gallon jug for 50 cents
  • Some free magazines like Writer’s Digestand ADDitude
  • Two unopened packages of child safety latches for a dime each
  • A gardening book for a quarter

The bread maker was for good friends of ours. They had mentioned that they might want one after trying some sweet potato bread my wife made with ours. We used the water jug on the camping trip — and I realized just how much I need to work out and get in shape after carrying 40 pounds of water from the water source to the campsite!

Any good flea market finds from y’all recently?

re: working out. . . other PF bloggers have pointed out (probably yourself included) that getting in shape not only makes you feel/look better, but it’s a *great* way to invest your time as far as finances go. With soaring medical costs, working out probably winds up giving you greater gains than investing in index funds/high-yield savings act’s, etc. Now. . . say it with me: “I want to pump you, and your wallet, up!” ^_^
