Wash basins and capitalist pigs

October 10th, 2006 | by mbhunter |

I was glad to hear that Dual Income No Kids decided not to overextend themselves in Prosper.com.  It’s safer to ease into it with a few low-risk loans than to go full bore with tens of thousands of dollars that would pinch the finances if the borrowers defaulted.

But on another subject:  What did dual-income, no kids (DINKs) call themselves before they got married?

Could it be single-income, no kids (SINKs)?  Or maybe one-income, no kids (OINKs)?

I don’t know.  Any other thoughts?

Agree. Noone should rush into Prosper. Even some of the top bloggers dont fully understand exactly how Prosper works just yet. I have $900 in Prosper right now, but only $300 in loans because it takes such a long time to find and fund something I’m comfortable with. I never bid more than $50 per loan.

Back when the DINKs thing was new, my sister and her friends used to call themselves MINKs: Meager Income, No Kids. :-)
