Roundup for week of 18 March 2007
March 24th, 2007 | by mbhunter |Here are some links of interest from the MBN and other great personal finance blogs:
- Blueprint for Financial Prosperity discusses the morality of deducting charitable contributions. (Debt Hater’s original post is linked below.) He also has a great Devil’s Advocate post on not budgeting to the penny.
- Consumerism Commentary talks about projected improvements and how they figure into the cost of buying a home.
- Five Cent Nickel dodges a speeding ticket and narrowly avoids a prime spot on World’s Wildest Police Videos.
- Free Money Finance is in the final four of the Personal Finance March Madness.
- All Financial Matters has several formulas for predicting future returns of the S&P 500.
- Debt Hater questions the morality of taking tax deductions for certain charitable contributions. Lots of food for thought in this one.
- No Credit Needed makes the final four at FMF’s PF March Madness, and wants your vote for his post Avoid 10 common debt reduction mistakes. He got mine, because (a) it’s a great post, and (b) “nickel’s blog A vs. nickel’s blog B” for the championship is pretty anticlimactic for everyone except nickel.
Also thanks to this week’s hosts of the Carnival of Personal Finance and the Carnival of Debt Reduction for including my posts on Debt is Slavery and on planning for an inheritance.
Enjoy!
