Giveaways for tax time!

April 12th, 2007 | by mbhunter |

H&R Block, a sponsor of this site, has sent me a few USB Flash Drives with TaxCut Premium Federal + State!

Now many of you probably were a lot more on the ball than myself and already have your taxes done. But if you’ve filed for an extension and still don’t have software, this is your chance! If you’ve already filed, it’s still a usable USB drive.

I’m giving a few of these away!

Here’s how it goes:

  1. No purchase necessary.
  2. Just leave a substantive comment here or contact me with the subject “Tax Giveaway” and you’re entered! You can tell me what you like about the site, what you don’t like, what you’d like to see more of, or you can just chat. Just make it more than “enter me” please!
  3. Deadline is 11:59 PM EDT on Friday, April 13th.
  4. No need to give your mailing address until you win.
  5. One entry per customer.
  6. U.S. addresses only, please.
  7. Winners will be chosen randomly from the substantive entries received before the deadline. (No, apple-shiners will not have an advantage!)
  8. I’ll announce the winners over the weekend.  (I won’t reveal your personal information.)

That’s it! Have fun!

Enter me into the contest! I really enjoy PF blogs, and I especially like how you incorporate Christianity and your beliefs into some of your posts. Keep it up!

I liked your April Fool’s Day blog entry. One of the funnier and more believable stories I read on April 1st.

I have been trying to convince hubby that we can do our taxes ourselves instead of paying a tax preparer. This year we used our usual preparer and our taxes are filed. I would love to have the USB tax prep drive so that I could re do our taxes and see if the figures are the same as our
preparer. That would help convince hubby we could use tax software next year!

@Andrea: I agree with you. I’ve paid $200-$250 each year for the last two years…it definitely makes me wonder if self-filing electronically is the way to go next year.

@MBH – I’m a first time visitor to your site, so I intend to take a look around. In the meantime, thanks for the giveaway. Right now my odds are “a few” in 7 of winning. That’s sweet! =o)

I’m new to the site, as well, and am always happy to find a new PF blog. I’ve been self filing electronically via Turbo Tax for several years now and really like the convenience. Look forward to reading more here!

The April Fools Blog actually “fooled” me also. What I like about your blog…..it’s very straightforward and down to earth. Your blogs are easy to read and tend to contain a bit of humor in them.(either that or I’m off the wall) In any case, I’d like to be entered in your “giveaway”, though I’ve already completed my taxes.

I find your posts to be so interesting. Who doesn’t want a few tips on saving money and finding good deals, right? Your links are really helpful, and I was really fooled by that April Fool’s post!

I’d like to be entered into the contest. It never hurts to have a flash drive lying around in case something needs to be backed up.

I’d love to get a USB drive. I’m in the process of digitizing our files so a USB drive would be handy to store in a safe deposit box ;)

This is the first year I’m doing our own tax return. I filed for an extension, but could use some help. My husband and I are over 70 and he’s disabled. Just found your site via the NYT and I think I’m going to like it here…

I am a single mom with kids at home. I don’t ever get “mommy” time. Me and another mom friend of mine is looking to start a small business for mom’s to have “Mommy Time” to read, sew, Nit, watch a movie or just have some quiet time. But we both are struggling to make ends meet and we’re needing help financially to start this company up. So if anyone is looking to help in something like this please consider helping us.

    Sincerely,
    Mommy’s in need
