I think you made the right choice in not purchasing them at the garage sale. You're usually better off purchasing them at a trade show or online. I passed over a similar deal recently because i knew they had been picked thru and there were nothing but commons left. Card collectors out there: Give your sports cards commons to schools or childrens hospitals. They always appreciate them.
