Unless, of course, I'm looking to buy buildings or office complexes in the city. Maybe there just aren't any in NYC? Since I've been looking for some for several years without finding any, I'm of a mind that auctions in NYC are small, private and closed to the public. I don't think I would be able to get over the "vulture" aspect of it, though. Of course, I can't (and don't want to) stop other people from going, but personally, I wouldn't feel right about picking over the remains of someone's life. These sound interesting.
