MyPoints is doubling the points for the large majority of merchants during the month of October, 2007. (EBay is one of these merchants, so the points on eBay sign-ups and purchases are doubled for this month as well!) A small sampling of the participating merchants:
- Apple iTunes
- Circuit City
- Crabtree & Evelyn
- DayTimer
- Discovery Store
- eBay
- FAO Schwartz
- GameStop
- J. Crew
- Literary Guild
- Netflix (free trial PLUS 2,000 points — easily enough for a $10 gift card to Starbucks or Olive Garden!)
- Restaurant.com
- The Bombay Company
- Tiger Direct
- Wall Street Journal
- dozens more
My wife and I do a lot of purchasing on eBay. It’s only been rarely that we’ve had a bad experience, and as a comparison shopping tool it’s tough to do better. Getting the MyPoints rewards is the icing on the cake — if you join MyPoints and click through the link on the site after you’ve signed into your account, you get 4 points per dollar you spend on eBay items during the month of October.
Even if you don’t want to spend a dime — and you shouldn’t buy stuff just to get the rewards! — you can still get gift cards just by reading e-mails. As soon as the points have cleared your account, you can order your gift card, and it arrives promptly. I’ve been very impressed with them!
So join MyPoints and enjoy the extra rewards this month!
