Roundup: Saranac Chocolate Amber edition
January 29th, 2008 | by mbhunter |Costco is still selling holiday and winter beer packs, and tonight I’m enjoying a Saranac Chocolate Amber Lager. My wife hides the beers for me so that I don’t overindulge; I have to “summon the beer fairy” to get one.
We’ve got some great links on tap from the MBN and other great blogs in my reader:
- Wise Bread (the newest member of the network) writes on the downsizing of an American dream.
- Five Cent Nickel chats about tipping.
- No Credit Needed reorganizes his post on people’s very, very best money-saving tips.
- Get Rich Slowly makes debt snowballs out of debt snowflakes.
- Free Money Finance explains how he’s grown his income.
- All Financial Matters reminds us that the stock markets are tanking.
- Consumerism Commentary asks if the winter blahs are affecting your finances.
- Lazy Man and Money reports that Lending Club has gotten a makeover.
- The Digerati Life gives seven things to consider as a first-time real-estate investor.
- The Sun’s Financial Diary posts a T-Bill yield calculator.
- Money Smart Life reports that the tax rebates are official.
- Money Blue Book, like myself, is looking forward to not spending his rebate check.
Also, a big thank you to Green Panda Treehouse for choosing my post on personal finance and discipline as an Editor’s Pick in last week’s Carnival of Personal Finance!
Have a great week!

There’s a limited edition double bock out right now that is fantastic. My roommate and I always have something from Saranac in our fridge. She loves Chocolate stouts, I’ll have to see if any of the chocolate lager is still available in our area so we can try it.
