Awww, MyPoints remembered my birthday!
March 6th, 2008 | by mbhunter |I embark on the latter half of my 30s today. Break out the Geritol!
MyPoints kindly remembered my birthday today and sent me an e-mail with an opportunity for a fair number of extra points. I ended up buying a $15 iTunes gift card. This triggered 30 points (2 points per dollar) plus an extra 500 birthday points that I’ll probably use towards another iTunes gift card.
Just in case you’re not familiar with how points convert to gift cards, a $5 gift card runs about 800 points or so. $10 cards are about 1450 points. This offer wasn’t a bad deal at all.
Just another reward if you join MyPoints, take a little time to read the e-mails they send you, and catch the really good offers.

Good to know! Too bad I signed up for MyPoints right after my birthday. Darn it.

These special birthday promotions always make me feel warm and fuzzy inside…until I realize that the messages are all automated and a human probably never even looked at where they were sending the goodwill messages out too.
B Day Perks are still nice though!
