Link roundup: Big edition
June 2nd, 2008 | by mbhunter |This link roundup isn’t much bigger than usual. I’m having a cup of Seattle’s Best Big coffee. The flavor is, well, big. I had bought twenty-seven bags of Seattle’s Best at Office Depot around Thanksgiving — they were $3 apiece — and I’m still going through them.
Here are some links of interest from the MBN and other blogs in my reader:
- Free Money Finance lists some tips on how to get more out of your accountant.
- Get Rich Slowly asks if saving more will prepare us for the upcoming recession. (It certainly can’t hurt!)
- No Credit Needed describes ten things he recently did to recharge and get back on track.
- Wise Bread mulls over the end of 6% real estate commissions.
- All Financial Matters discusses whether we’re headed down the road of being dumb and broke.
- Consumerism Commentary considers what to do with his stimulus check.
- Five Cent Nickel discusses the future of retirement.
- My Money Blog asks if we’re headed toward financial armageddon.
- Money Smart Life sends out a call to engaged couples to be more open about their finances.
- Quest for Four Pillars isn’t too keen on 40-year mortgages.
- Sun’s Financial Diary reports on developments that could lead to the proliferation of online real estate brokers.
- Digerati Life posts on investing sins. (Sloth cost me a lot of money at one point.)
- Mrs. Micah passes on the small blessings of gas money.
Mighty Bargain Hunter participated in three carnivals last week:
- Canadian Dream: Free at 45 included Pay $15 for gas now in the Carnival of Personal Finance
- Consumerism Commentary chose Debt reduction, saving, and investing: Which when? as an Editor’s Pick in the Carnival of Debt Reduction
- Funny About Money included The hefty time cost of “free” or “really cheap” in the Festival of Frugality
Have a great week!

Thanks!
I love Seattle’s Best. We go to Borders on our date nights, so it could just be the association or it could be the coffee.
