woohoo! love these - we took advantage of the last offer, and my mom & another friend just took advantage of it, as well! Thanks for the heads up! We almost missed it... IMO, it is totally worth the $ when you are traveling to specific areas that you can use the certs at. We are going to St. Louis for 3 days, and we've been saving ours up for 3 months just so we can use a few while we are there. We typically have no problem meeting the $35 minimum (if there is one) and tip 20% for good service anyhow, so 18% doesn't bother us unless it is a horrible server (at which point we'd ask to speak to a manager & probably get even more savings, haha!)!

MrsPost: Yes, you're correct. These aren't the same as cash at the restaurants.

Paying $2 to get $25 off of a $40 dinner is nothing to sneeze at, despite the restrictions.

As for the 18% gratuity added on pre-discount, that doesn't bother me. I would hope you wouldn't do this, but some people might just calculate their tip on the discounted amount if they were given the freedom to do so; I don't think that's the way to go about things.

Well then. I checked for restaurants in my area to see what was available.

Most of them require a $35 - $45 dinner purchase and add an 18% gratuity on the pre-discount price.

Oh, and the coupons are only good Monday through Thursday.

Another one of the 'it sounds like a good deal until you do the math' situations. As always research, research, research.
