Hi,

First, I wanted to say I like your site.

I was looking around for something else and stumbled upon your site and the 2 posts regarding paypal and credit cards.

I’ve used paypal for a very long time to run my Business.

I also use them to make purchases, although there are times I use a credit card.

The trick to paying with a credit card, is to not login to your account.

Sure, paypal will pop up and tell you they know you have an account and will ask if you want to login, but simply decline and pay without logging in.

Then all you need to do is enter you card info and click pay.

I would like to note one other thing here…

Sellers who use paypal do have the option of requiring the buyer to have a paypal account, before they make a purchase.

Personally, I don’t use the setting and not sure why people do. I find that most, if not all, of my buyers have paypal accounts.

This time, after I selected my credit card, it took me right back to the payment screen.

I am not a huge fan of paypal….since they screwed me for some money a few months ago. But I can understand the frustration with paying with paypal. This is why I hear that a lot of consumers do not like going through paypal to submit their order. They would rather use a private online merchant account for their transactions.

I agree 100% on this. I HATE how paypal makes me pay with the linked account “Instant Transfer” (they make it sound sexy) than using my Credit Card.

I wish I could set in my preferences to always pay with CC. I think 1 out of 5 transactions I do on paypal I forget to select credit card options.

Also there are the Points…I want to put on my CC to get Points!!
