Friday Fiscals: Tearing up the carpet
October 23rd, 2009 | by mbhunter |We’re ditching our wall-to-wall carpet in much of our house in favor of some laminate flooring. Our dogs don’t quite know what to do with the new hard surfaces.

My parents’ house has laminate floors in most of the rooms. When they first put it down and the dogs didn’t know what is was they’d come running in the house and then slide from one end of the room to the other. That stuff is slick, I love how durable it is but the slip factor is very high.

Laminate is fine, and easy to clean. Carpet is comfortable in the bedrooms and for older folks.
We’ve got some Brazilian Cherry wood floors in our house which are sweet. Laminate is a great way to go to save money.
